Deby Xiadani

Sorry dogs, phones are a human's new best friend. Even if you have a dog, you most definitely do not look at your dog as much as you do at your phone. And if you do, you're probably a 6 month baby. Congratulations on reading this. Actually, phones have pretty much replaced everything: teachers, boyfriends, cameras, cash - thank you Wikipedia, Tinder, Instagram and Venmo- you fit perfectly in my non-existent, woman-designated-jean pocket. What phones have irreplaceably stolen though is eye contact. Eye contact is the start to any human relationship. It is the key ingredient to sparking a conversation, to flirting, to finishing an argument and to saying thank you. What my passion is, is kindling the human connection. Through theater and an arsenal of psychological knowledge, I live to make human experience still the most memorable and pungent experience you can have. I create art, entertainment, and moments that are just as meaningful and transient as the life we are leading.
