Hello I'm Declan, i'm running for Ethics & Environment officer. I'm currently studying Marketing at City Campus. I am also Chair of Student Council and on the Union's Board of Trustees.
The issue of climate change has never been so relevent than in recent times with flooding all over the country and I believe the issue of global warming becomes more and more salient within out society every year. I believe the future of our planet depends on how quickly we act to save it.
If elected I promise to.
- Make recycling easier for students.
- Assist students with easy ways to be environmentally friendly.
- Utilise social media as a platform for students to create an Environmental community but also as a means of directly inputting ideas and opinions on matters.
- Raise overall awareness of environmental and ethical activities.
I'm extremely interested in both ethical and environmental issues, my goal if elected is to put students at the heart of all decision making, represent their views and overall make universtiy a better and more environmentally friendly place for everyone. I'm very approachable and accessible for students wanting to raise issues or concerns.
