I used to describe myself with one word, "Designer" but now that anyone with a creative itch can apply the word to themselves it dilutes my educational and career background. Instead, I'll say I'm a creative practical problem solver. I devise and distill complicated problems into simple visual and usable solutions. Yeah I'm an old school visual artist slaving away at canvas as my other hustle.
