Dee Jae Cox is the Cofounder/President and Artistic Director of THE LOS ANGELES WOMEN'S THEATRE PROJECT, a 501c3 California Nonprofit Corporation, dedicated to the advocacy, education and creation of opportunities for women in the Performing Arts. She is a successful and experienced Playwright, Producer and Director.

As a playwright with an extensive background in Nonprofit Management and Program Development, she founded The Los Angeles Women's Theatre Project in order to create opportunities for women in theatre and film. With only 20% of plays and films produced in the U.S. having female authors, as well as directors and those working in technical positions, there is obviously a need for efforts to create opportunities for more women's work and advancement in the Performing Arts.

She is the creator and host of the popular radio show "CALIFORNIA WOMAN 411", (www.californiawoman411.com) airing on R&R Broadcasting, KPTR AM 1450, Progressive Talk Radio, in Palm Springs, CA. Saturday mornings from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Showcasing women who lead and inspire in The Arts, Business, Politics and the Community and discussing topics that effect women most.
