Deepak Alur
I am a hands-on developer at heart and I love to develop innovative high-quality software, and build great teams!
I am currently the Cofounder and head of engineering at Chartcube. Prior to that, I was VP of Product and Engineering at JackBe, where I am responsible for the vision, design and development of Presto, an award-winning Real-Time Business Intelligence product.
I spent 10 years at Sun Microsystems, working on Java, J2EE, Enterprise Architecture and Web Services. I led Sun's team to architect and develop eBay's V3 project, a next generation auction platform based on Java. While at Sun, I worked with many premier enterprises as a consulting engineer to help design and implement highly scalable mission critical applications. I was recognized as a Java Champion for my contribution to the Java Community as the co-author of the widely adopted book - Core J2EE Patterns: Best Practices and Design Strategies, published by Prentice Hall.
