Deepak Dadhwal

I am a Security Risk professional with two and a half decades of experience. My career began with the First Gorkha Rifles of the Indian Army, to which I was commissioned as a 2nd Lietenent. My tour of duty took me to various conflict zones and gave me considerable experience in dealing with varied risks. My leadership roles in the military included command of a battalion in Nagaland, and deputy Brigade Commander on the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir.

I transitioned to the corporate environment two years ago, and am a Certified Protection Professional(CPP) in Corporate Security from ASIS International, USA.

Views on Security

1. Apply Gestalt theory to security programs. Integrate, you will then have 'the whole, greater than its parts'.

2. In conflict areas, security startegies are most effective when integrated with community engagement. When same priciple is applied in the corporate environment, security awareness through employee engagement is the key to an effective protection program.
