Dee Parker
Business Consultant, Firearm Training Expert, and CEO in Virginia
👋 About Me — Dee Parker
I’m Dee Parker — U.S. Army veteran, entrepreneur, certified life coach, firearms and safety instructor, business strategist, and Founder & CEO of Trouble Defense LLC.
My career has been built around one principle: prepare people to perform when it matters.
I served 8 years in the U.S. Army, where my experience included weapons training, logistics, unit armorer responsibilities, Combat Lifesaver training, and serving as an instructor and evaluator for the Army Best Warrior Competition. I trained and assessed soldiers on weapons handling, warrior tasks, readiness, and performance standards.
After my military service, I spent 15 years as a Logistics Manager supporting the Pentagon Motor Pool, overseeing transportation, supply operations, equipment, purchasing, and mission-readiness requirements in a high-accountability environment.
Today, I lead Trouble Defense LLC, a veteran-owned firearms, safety, and preparedness training company serving Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and the surrounding region.
Our training includes concealed carry education, private firearms instruction, Active Shooter Preparedness Training, Workplace Violence Prevention Training, De-Escalation Training, Corporate & Government Training, Facility Security Risk Assessments, scenario-based training, and community safety education.
Our students and clients range from first-time gun owners and families to corporations, government organizations, military personnel, law-enforcement professionals, security professionals, and experienced shooters.
Trouble Defense has earned 400+ Google reviews, while continuing to focus on training that is practical, professional, personal, and built for real-world confidence.
One of the projects I’m most proud of is developing firearms instruction for blind and low-vision students. Our Adaptive Firearms Training program reflects something I strongly believe: accessibility should never be an afterthought. Great instructors learn how to teach the individual in front of them.
My work also extends beyond the firing line. I develop and deliver training in active shooter preparedness, workplace violence prevention, de-escalation, situational awareness, scenario-based response, and organizational safety. The goal is to help organizations move beyond checking a box and build a stronger culture of awareness, preparedness, communication, and response.
I’m also a co-owner of JACO Enforcement Services, a Maryland-based security and protection company serving clients throughout the DC Metro area. JACO provides armed and unarmed security, event security, residential and commercial protection, executive/VIP protection, and customized security solutions.
Entrepreneurship has also allowed me to use more than a decade of experience in marketing, advertising, graphic design, SEO, web development, content strategy, YouTube growth, branding, and business consulting. I enjoy taking an idea, positioning it correctly, building the infrastructure behind it, and turning it into something that can grow.
I also help support the growth and strategy behind Shoot the Shhh, a women’s empowerment and firearms education platform created by Sheena Parker. The platform combines firearm education, safety, self-defense, interviews, personal stories, and conversations designed to educate, inspire, and empower women. It grew to thousands of subscribers and more than 100,000 views within its early growth.
I’m not interested in staying inside one box.
I’m interested in building companies, creating opportunities, solving problems, developing people, and leaving things stronger than I found them.
Whether I’m training a first-time firearm owner, working with a corporate team, developing a government program, helping grow a security company, building a digital brand, or creating something new, the mission stays the same:
Serve. Build. Innovate. Prepare.
That’s what I do — and I’m just getting started.
