Interior Designer, Student, and Traveler in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Driven by curiosity, I like to explore the world around me, find beauty in ordinary places, and appreciate the intelligence of nature’s design.
During my years at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)’s CIDA accredited Interior Design Program, I gained in-depth and holistic knowledge around interior design and how it relates to the end-users and the environment. At BCIT, I developed design related hard skills and soft skills such as communication, teamwork, ability to handle pressure, and self-motivation. I have always been a detailed oriented person and is good at understanding and solving technical and logical problems. I was given the Most Diligent award within my diploma level class at BCIT by my instructors.
Exploring different countries is one of my interest and my goal is to travel to all the continents. I was fortunate to be able to go on an abroad exchange term to Hildesheim, Germany, during my study at BCIT. I took full advantage of Germany’s central geographical location within Europe, I was able to travel to nearly all the countries boarding Germany. This exchange term left me with remarkable memories and experiences in 29 cities among 13 countries. I’m a curious and adventurous person. I wondered how it feels to jump off a building without sacrificing life, therefore I jumped the world’s highest bungy jump at 233m above ground.
I believe learning shouldn’t stop after school, it should be a priceless life-long commitment and it can be done anywhere anytime. I believe sustainability is a vital aspect of interior design, therefore I studied and obtained the LEED Green Associate accreditation in my spare time. In the future, I hope to design spaces that are visually interesting, environmentally sustainable, and provide positive comfortability and experiences to the end-users.
