D. Elisabeth Glassco is primarily interested in studying the intersections of contemporary media, social movements, politics, and cultural theory and practice, all through the lens of various theoretical and historical frameworks and with an emphasis on otherness as an historical formation of meanings. My current research efforts address the political culture of conservatism and liberalism's response to those dynamics within the contemporary media environment as well as class, race, ethnicity, and gender representation in contemporary media.
