Deirdre Baggot, Ph.D., MBA, BSN, is a healthcare business strategist and bundled payment expert Dr. Baggot earned her Bachelor's Degree in nursing from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. Deirdre also has an MBA from Loyola University's Quinlan School of Business in Chicago, and she earned a doctorate degree in philosophy from the University of Colorado in Denver. Throughout her career, she has worked as a nurse, a business analyst, an administrative manager and a business strategist.
Deirdre's career began in 1997 with a position at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and she would quickly rise through the ranks with high level administration positions at SCL Health in 2006, and GE Healthcare Partners shortly after in 2010.
Today, Deirdre is a prominent authority figure on healthcare payment reform. She is respected across multiple industries in the healthcare sector because of her business expertise and her practical experience as a clinician. She also helped pioneer bundled payments, and has written a number of papers on the subject for BoardRoom Press.
Over the years, Deirdre has set a great leadership example by developing bundled payment consulting practices that have led the way in innovation and revenue generation. She has helped two prominent advisory firms accomplish their revenue goals. Many of the payment models that Deirdre helped build are still used to this day. These models include commercial payers, employers, Medicare and Medicaid. These programs span more than 200 facilities. Deirdre focuses on building long-term relationships that are based on collaboration with clients.
Deirdre has also served as an advisor to a New York Medicaid bundled payment program and as a CMS expert reviewer. Deirdre currently serves the greater Denver area in Colorado.
