Rev. David E. Jackson, II is an ordained minister from Atlanta, Georgia. He is a highly sought after preacher, teacher, and consultant throughout the United States, Africa, and the Caribbean. Rev. Jackson is currently the 12th Senior Pastor-Elect of the Mount Sinai Baptist Church in the Old Fourth Ward Community of Atlanta, Georgia. Rev. Jackson is the young pastor elected in the 100 year history of the church and is scheduled to be installed Fall 2014. Rev. Jackson has a passion to build working relationships for kingdom advancement with a specific focus on education/training, development, and rehabilitation. His background in administration, discipleship and assimilation, community development, and pastoral care and counseling enables him to forge strong and lasting partnerships for community transformation.

Professionally, Rev. Jackson is a Police Officer for the City of Atlanta Police Department where he also serves as the youngest sworn volunteer chaplain. Also, he is the founder of D.E. Jackson Enterprises, an outreach and community development organization, and the High Place Alliance, Inc., a non-profit youth development organization. In the past, Rev. Jackson has worked in politics, the non-profit sector and church administration. His previous work has afforded him extensive national and international travel including travel over 15 nations.

Educationally, Rev. Jackson received his Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies and Research from Cornell University (magna cum laude) and his Master in Divinity with a concentration in Church History from Union Theological Seminary of New York (Columbia University) where he was an Union Honor Scholar and the recipient of the Maxwell Fellowship for Promise to Parish Ministry in 2007. He is currently a Doctorate in Ministry candidate at New York Theological Seminary in Congregational Studies. His research focuses on Pastoral Care and Counseling in African American congregations.

Socially, Rev. Jackson is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc and Reeshonah Sofeem Christian Fraternity. He is an alumnus of the North Carolina Outward Bound Educational School and is on the board of directors for Youth Working Towards a “Speedy” Awareness, Inc. (YWTSA). Presently, Rev. Jackson resides in Atlanta, GA and enjoys travel, live music, reading and quality time with loved ones in his spare time.
