Since late 2013 I went on a journey to learn, to tackle, to expand, and grow. I will no longer settle for what is average.
I am a passionate youthworker. I have a heart for young children and teenagers. I enjoy seeing them grow mentally, spiritually and physically. I would love to see them achieve success for themselves - however they define it.
Success, for me, is to do what God made you to do. Be it a doctor, be it an artisit, be a missionary. You achieved succes when you embrace your God given purpose.
Currently I am working at a church in South Africa, very close to Cape Town. I am primarily assigned to Grade 4-6 kids, and responsible for nurturing their spiritual growth alongside their families.
I am married to a lovely, beautiful, career driven - yet relaxed - women who supports me through all my doubts, turbulances and absolutely crazy fun times.
I enjoy the outdoors. Even though I spend most of my time in an office, it gets to a point where I want to break all the walls down, runaway and sit on a rock somewhere, on the beach or mountain. I absolutely love hiking. I want to try rockclimbing, bungeejumping and skydiving - let's put it this way: I would try anything outdoors.
Personal development is high on my list of priorities and would most definately encourage everyone to go on a similiar journey as I have the past couple of months.
In the last year I have developed a keen interest in the development of children, especially those that are diagnosed with ADHD. I undertook a mission to walk alongside the children, as well as their families. My dream is to start, and own, a for profit company that support a non-profit company that offers families of children with ADHD support, not psychologically, but personally, more supportive that medical assistance, maybe even financial support.
