CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Best known for his Facebook and YouTube antics, Delbert Johnson, a.k.a "Tripp Peezy" is making his mark in the entertainment industry

Growing up with modest means, Delbert the third of five children, although extremely shy, loved to make his siblings laugh. At the age of two, Delbert’s mother knew he was different, a child prodigy, he played the piano at two, and was somewhat of a painter, and could draw anything at the age of three. By the age of ten, he was making his own short films, and doing what he loved to do create comedy.

Delbert went to the School of Performing Arts, (Douglas Anderson), in Jacksonville, Florida. He decided to go for film and television production, but could have easily gone for piano, vocal music, or visual arts. He was the only African-American in the program, and his teacher took a liking to him, and helped him develop his craft.

After graduation, Delbert attended Edward Waters College; he worked two jobs, and went to school full time as he needed to help his mother who was struggling to raise his siblings alone. He matriculated from Edward Waters with a degree in mathematics. Delbert pursued a career as a math teacher for Duval County Schools, but his passion was still his many talents. He entered and won several talent shows for singing. He played and sang at his local church and even directed the choir.

Three years ago was a turning point, which is whenbudding comedic talent came full circle, he stared to produce his own comedyvideos on an old beat up phone. He started with ten likes, those ten likemetamorphosed into five million likes, 200,000 followers, and being paidthrough YouTube. Delbert is working with Sean Foster to help catapult hisnascent career. Delbert will be on 99.5, Hot F.M. Jacksonville; he is currentlyvisiting the DMV to take classes at DC Improv, like a shooting star, his careeraspirations is bright.
