My building career started early with trips to my uncle's shop. My cousin and I would make use of tools that were surely off limits. In exchange we'd assist with concrete pours, roofing and other maintenance. During high school I spent my first summer on a framing crew. I knew that wasn't for me so college was the next logical step. After graduating from UT I spent two years studying sustainable building practices in a local AmeriCorps program called Casa Verde Builders. There I apprenticed under Mark Kohlhaas who now owns Whidbey Island Carpentry in WA. He taught me not to lean things lest they come crashing down. He also taught me to do things right the first time or failing that, tear it down and start over before calling it done. With his encouragement I decided to start my own repair/remodeling business. I can now choose jobs that make me happy where I'm able to control the quality of work 100%. Whether it's big or small, I'd love to help you out. I'm a problem solving designer/builder with more than 10 years of construction experience. Contact me if you need help on any projects and I'll arrange a meeting at your convenience.
