Thomas & Kelly Downin
Beaumont, Alberta
The newest Downin family unit is composed of Thomas, Kelly, and family pet, Diesel.
~The Mrs.
Kelly grew up in the lush farm country of Allentown, Pennsylvania where her love for the outdoors and nature took wing. She and her family moved to Florida the summer before her 8th grade year. Over the course of time from 8th grade to present day, Kelly has met and shook the hand of President Geroge W. Bush and First Lady, had one of her poems published, performed at Disney's Candelight Christmas show with her high school choir, graduated high school, worked at a daycare center for 6 years, met mr. right, traveled to Africa on missions, continued her degree in Elementary Education at FSW, became an aunt, became a fiance, and is now working with kiddos full time and wife to her best friend Thomas Alexander Downin. Kelly adores anything vintage or with character, old time movies and music, cooking, painting, and photographing God's beautiful creations.
~The Mr.
Thomas grew up in the beloved state of Ankeny, Iowa with the rest of the Downin family. Thomas is one of six children within his family and is one of the five who were adopted at a very young age. Thomas was born at 1.5 pounds premature and through the care of medical staff and his parents, survived several situations where his heart stopped beating as an infant. Over the course of time, Thomas has worked with at risk children, survived being stabbed, moved to Florida, worked for the City of Sanibel, received his NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) diploma and certifications for wilderness survival training, met his bride, traveled to Africa on missions, proposed marriage, and became a husband. In his down time Thomas enjoys gaming, playing with his dog Diesel, and watching Netflix snuggled up with his wife and dog.
~The Pet
The Downin's beloved dog, Diesel, was a breeder experiment between a Dachshund and Jack Russel Terrier. He was discarded by the breeder at a humane society. Over time, he was transfered to different shelters until he landed in the Gulf Coast Human Society at the age of two where the Mr. & Mrs. adopted him. Diesel enjoys squeeky toys, running in circles outdoors, playing with his white lab buddy next door, jumping up into laps, and snuggling with his humans in bed.
