Greetings, I’m Delma. I’m a student living in Johannesburg. I am a fan of reading, movies, and food. I’m also interested in cooking.

I am a passionate educator who is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Senior phase and FET at University of Johannesburg. I am in my third year about to approach my fourth year. My majors are History and Isizulu methodologies. I am passionate about working with learners it is very important to me that l create relationship with my learners and understand how they think and how I can help them when the need arise.

My teaching style or philosophy is based on the idea of establishing a welcoming and comfortable learning atmosphere where pupils feel inspired and empowered to pursue their interests and goals .I firmly believe in developing close relationships with learners so that l may understand their unique needs and learning preferences and adjust my teaching style accordingly .One of the skills that l poses is teaching skills that l gained from doing Work Integrated Learning in different schools .I have been working hand in hand with experienced educators and helped them by teaching some of their classes and prepared lesson plans. Learners do come to me for help and l do tutor them to make sure no one is left behind. All my years doing Work Integrated Learning in different schools l have been getting compliments on how hard working and committed l am on my work.

Aside teaching l love reading literature specifically novels. I love reading novels because they help in calming me whenever when l am stressed with workload. I also bake when l am free because the aroma of freshly baked scones is very soothing. One of my goals is to have my degree and go to teaching industry and make sure that l maintains my philosophy of helping my learners and motivating them. While l also continue to grow academically which will benefit the community.
