DeLURA Soul
Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
DeLURA Soul is a young self taught DJ and Producer/Compiler who hails from the small city of Port Elizabeth (South Africa). He possesses a small yet potential driven career that has grown over the years since learning how to DJ for the first time at a small house party at the age of 15. After playing his very first set in front of the crowd on the same night he never looked back, he did everything he could to develop his craft from experimenting with different DJing styles on popular mixing software to listening to mix legends such as Lars Behrenroth, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Cubase (Point 5, PE) and DJ Kent. He soon developed his own style which has modeled him into the DJ he is today.
As far as performance goes, DeLURA Soul has only played on various radio networks such as the Spin Offs on Metro FM (South Africa), House365 Radio and DeepGroove Radio Show (UK), he even started a 10 part mix tape series called the DeLURA Soul sessions in 2013 which can be found on www.yungrhythms.podomatic.com . This has all equipped him enough to be able to play live gigs in and around the city.
In 2013 he released his first EP entitled 'The WarmUp' which was a 2 track package for Black People Records fans. It included a remix for Zimbabwe's Reverb7 ( whom he will be working with again on a solo release) and an original piece called 'It is what it is'. You can check it out on Traxsource, Juno Download and Beatport.
Yung Rhythms House Music Blog was started in 2012 and is all about moving house music forward by featuring young DJs and producers from all around the world. His journalistic instinct allows him to tackle issues and stories in the House music industry when given the chance. He has featured artists such as Souldynamic, Avi Elman aka UPZ, Russoul, Dineo (Foreal Music), Infinite Boys etc. His partner in crime and ambassador of the blog Gavin Manamela has been cyber friend of DeLURA Soul and together they have managed to pull out all the stops to make it happen in the past months.
DeLURA Soul's journalism instinct and talent has earned him freelance positions at Black People Records and Hectic Nine9 (SABC Teen show, SA) and a freelance contributor spot at Itchy Pig Records (UK)
His love for music certainly goes way back and it will never stop! #DeepHouseHasNeverSoundedThisGood
