Delvin Moody, a native of Utica, NY, initiated his leadership voyage nurtured within the nurturing bounds of the church, which subsequently blossomed into a prolific career in public service and academia. His educational odyssey saw him securing dual Bachelor's degrees in Religion and Political Science from the University of Rochester, his high honors manifesting his goal-driven ethos. Showcasing relentless determination, he achieved a Master of Arts degree with distinction in Religion from Colgate University and advanced his theological wisdom at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Currently, he is immersing himself in Ph.D. studies at Boston University, focusing on Afrocentric religious practices in the Americas. His diverse career has been marked by leadership in various esteemed organizations; his involvement with groups like the NAACP and the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee underscores his extensive political outlook. He has fervently served as the National Chairman of the National Black Action Committee and held significant roles in the New York State Young Democrats, actively contributing to President Joe Biden's Young Elected Official Coalition during the 2020 presidential campaign.

Being the youngest African American elected official in NY State, he exemplified his resolve and innovative approach in several historic roles in Utica, NY, and as the pioneering International Director of Young Adults for the House of God Church Inc. Delvin, also an author, penned "The Launching Pad: For People Fueled by Potential," a manifestation of his dedication to personal and communal growth. He spearheaded the Collective Impact Network, channeling significant investments into Utica's communities, and is currently penning another inspirational book, "Rerouting: Navigating Life's Wrong Turn."
