Demetrius Anderson

Demetrius Anderson is a communications professional who has been connected to products and people for more than a decade. As a marketing and sales director, community engagement manager, and leader in key positions, he draws on his diverse experience in public relations, product marketing, business development and advertisement to boost the products and services of a variety of businesses. His consummate ability to create effective brand messaging, build valuable relationships, and grow business has made him a sought-after communications authority.

Equipped with more than a dozen years of experience building sales and managing accounts, Demetrius uses his expansive network to empower distributors, wholesalers, retailers and dealers with the products and marketing tools they need to draw and retain customers, and increase revenue.

Demetrius worked in communications roles with several businesses where he provided counsel to clients in healthcare, politics, automotive, energy, environmental, real estate, construction, workforce development, and the non-profit sector. Demetrius’ communications credit also includes work in radio as voice talent for radio spots, and sales as a business development executive. As an entrepreneur, Demetrius has freelanced as a public relations adviser, using his extensive expertise with small businesses and non-profit organizations. Currently, he runs a boutique consultancy as a communications advisor to small-to-midsized businesses.

Demetrius is a founding board member for the Detroit chapter of the National Black Public Relations Society, and served as the first director of membership and board parliamentarian. Today, the organization continues to thrive as a professional association for people of color in the public relations, marketing, and communications.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Wayne State University in Detroit. While a student at WSU, he served as president for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). He is also a product of the Detroit Public School system – boasting the distinguished honor as a “Technician” from the prestigious Cass Technical High School, an International Baccalaureate World School in the City of Detroit.

When he is not wearing his “professional hat”, he spends his time with family, his dog Myles, and his hobbies (drumming, archery, racquet sports and flying drones).
