Stephen Deming
A junior Sport Management major in the Isenberg School at UMass Amherst. A loving brother and son from humble beginnings in Warwick, RI. My graduating class essayist. Devoted friend and avid sports fan.
Sports have been a part of my life for a very long time, teaching me lessons that can be applied both on the field and off the field. Some of my best friends were met on a sports field and some of my favorite memories can be found in the same spot. Over the years I've realized just how much sports have taught me. From sharing a common goal with your team to all the great team experiences you have whether you win or lose, sports have been very important to me.
Things haven't changed even though I am currently in college. Now at UMass and a proud brother of Theta Chi Fraternity, my knowledge, skills, and dedication are still noticed and appreciated. My position in my fraternity requires me to be not only upstanding, but outstanding. As the very first Vice President of Health and Safety, it is my job to ensure healthy brotherhood interaction and to make brothers aware of health services, both on and off campus.
