Teacher in cairo

Hello all!
My name is Jennifer Demjen. I have spent the last 5 years living abroad in Egypt and in Vietnam, teaching at Canadian International Schools. Immediately after Teachers College I went to teach full time in Cairo. My original plan was to spend only 1 year teaching in Cairo, that 1 year plan quickly turned into 3!After 3 years in Cairo I felt that I needed to try teaching in a new country before returning to Canada. I signed a 2 year contract to teach Grade 2. During this time I obtained my Specialist in English Language Learners.
I am now back in Egypt about to teach Grade 1 for the first time. I landed a week ago and we spent this last week in a lovely town called Dahab.

Here I live in a beautiful compound with my Fiancée and our rescued street pup. We love visiting the Red Sea or Mediterranean Sea almost every weekend to Scuba Dive and relax, and spend our holidays traveling to various countries. Back in Canada, I obtained a diploma in Early Childhood Education before entering Teachers College.

I enjoy teaching and traveling and visiting home every summer where my parents, 3 sisters and 6 nieces and nephews live. Completing my ELL Specialist gave me more confidence in my teaching abilities abroad. This prompted me to want to complete more AQ courses in the areas I am interested in.

I look forward to meeting everyone in this course!www.instagram.com/1000waystotravel_:) Happy learning!!
