Denekia Doss

My name is Denekia Doss, I am a 17 year old High School student. I spent most of my life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but I was born in Kansas City, Missouri. I've enjoyed myself when I lived there, although I miss it, I think it was a better choice for me to come back to my home state. I don't have a lot to say about Oklahoma, but what I can say is that I enjoyed my old Elementary school friends and the summer. It's actually where I started doing hair. My mom and little sister were my biggest supporters.

After I moved from Oklahoma, doing hair, nails, and discovering my own fashion was one of my main priorities. I want to go to school for it and everything, it was my go to. I am now a senior in High School and I feel the exact same way. It is a way for me to get away from negativity, and learn and discover new things. I also enjoy singing, playing with my niece and nephew, going on date with my partner, and taking my younger siblings shopping because I love to see them smile, it is an accomplishment for me.

I plan on opening up my own salon/ nail shop. I believe that I am an outgoing person because I make sure that everyone is good and comfortable before I actually sit down and have time for myself. My education is like a trophy to me and when I get it it’ll feel like I won, through all the distractions, homework, test, long nights studying, and trying to get everything done in the same day. This is going to be a new chapter for me and I plan to keep adding chapters to this book of mine. As you can see I have goals for myself and I don’t want to do anything but accomplish them, not only for me but for my family, friends, and others who didn’t have the opportunity to do it.
