What could be more inspiring than loving & leading learning? It’s an ambition that I strive to fulfill as part of my daily work and life because learning & life are inextricably linked.

I have been involved in education for over thirty years, twenty two years as a leader working internationally in both single sex and co-educational environments. My path to becoming a Principal was paved by others who recognized my leadership acumen long before I did and created opportunities for me. This is why I feel driven and compelled to nurture leadership talent, to work with others to help them realize their ambitions and to give back.

Working across primary and secondary schools in multiple roles, leading a large K-12 Learning Support Department and expertise with gifted students has taught me the importance of understanding every child and young person's story. We teach better by knowing more. Every child has a story and something to teach us.

A penchant for vision, strategic thinking, creating conditions for growth, innovation, action and working with others to achieve their goals all focus my energy. I am drawn to making connections, synthesising ideas and finding creative solutions to complex problems. A life long learner, naturally curious, an avid reader of books from multiple disciplines and open to possibilities there’s never enough hours in the day.

Born in Scotland, I have lived in Sydney for twenty years with my Australian husband and now our daughter. We love the beach, long walks, traveling , culinary endeavors & all things life giving.
