Denis Sergovskiy

Los Angeles, California

Denis Sergovskiy was born in Moscow, Russia on February 13, 1980. Raised by his mother and father, Denis was the typical kid who loved to stay active in sports.

At age 6, Denis became involved in Greco-Roman wrestling. Originating near the Mediterranean Sea, Greco-Roman wrestling was embraced by the Greeks as a method by which soldiers were trained.

Using his unique physical presence, Denis was able to strengthen his arm drags, bear hugs and headlocks found throughout the heavy resistance sport.

At age 10, he decided to study martial arts where he focused on his self-defense. Born a fighter, Denis learned to focus his energy on multiple opponents at one time.

After much thought, Denis chose Kyokushinkai, known for its knock-down system of fighting. Characterized as a style which required tenuous training, conditioning and full contact sparring, Denis felt that it would give him the opportunity to build his strength and develop his fighting technique.

Bruce Lee became an inspiration as Denis fought his way to becoming the most skilled fighter in his age group.

At age 13, Denis jumped head first into bodybuilding. Following in the footsteps of Mr. Olympia (Arnold Schwarzenegger) Denis felt that he had the same dreams and aspirations that would take him to the top.

At age 16, Denis started competing in bodybuilding on an amateur level.

At the top of his game, Denis turned professional in 2007 and continues to reach milestones in fitness and modeling.
