Denise Bernard

Well, that is me: Denise, 29 years old, living in the south of Germany. I am a mom of three – my twins are 3 years old, my little one is 1,5 years old, rocking my world every day… So, where to start? Well, I was into sports my whole life. I practiced swimming as a high-performance sport until my youth, also did some fancy diving for a while – but at one point I decided I had enough water, quit and went for something more grounded: Running and lots of courses like Tae Boe and different Aerobic classes, often joining several courses in a row because I just couldn’t get enough… I had so much fun doing sports that I even decided to take the path as a fitness instructor after finishing school and already signed in to gain my first coaching certificate. But how life goes I got a job offer to start my career as a journalist at a newspaper at the same time – and couldn’t decline. I was 18 and had the chance to put my second passion, the writing, on a solid base, while all the other applicants where about 10 years older and finished a study... After some years at the newspaper I decided to still add a study and got my degree in business administration in tourism, focus on management of destinations, and had the luck to lead my own small district office during the practical phases for 1,5 years. Work didn’t leave me much time for fitness courses, but through an interesting article I learned about HIIT-Training and started with the help of internet videos. I loved this kind of training – and didn’t even need three hours to feel exhausted anymore! After both my pregnancies I couldn’t wait to start again as fast as possible, and got to know Freeletics about one year ago through a tv report. That’s where I got to know some awesome people who shared the same passion and craziness about sports like me, who love going beyond, challenging ourselves, leave old pathes and try to strive for the best. That’s why I enthusiastically started working for GOLIAZ – and created my own blog to share my knowledge and passion in sports.
