Denise Chen Lai
Denise is a biotechnology marketing professional with business development experience and a strong scientific track record. She is a science geek, passionate about translating breakthrough research discoveries into innovative and effective treatments for patients worldwide.
She recently graduated from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prior to UCLA Anderson, Denise was a Business Development Manager at Pharmacyclics, a public biopharmaceutical company developing therapies for cancer and other serious diseases.
Denise earned an M.S. in Chemical and Systems Biology from Stanford University, where the results of her graduate research in developmental biology and chromatin biology were published in the top international science journal Nature.
In her free evenings, she translates science research breakthroughs into jargon-free, fun articles as a science writer and volunteers in the cancer community. Her science writing has been featured in the San Jose Tech Museum, NIH Biomedical Computation Review, and more.
She is married to her diametric opposite and together they spend their free weekends hiking the great outdoors with their sheepdog Porter.
