Denise Hunter Ethington

Denise Hunter Ethington is an adjunct professor of political science and a Ph.D. candidate in Public Policy and Administration. She has more than 18 years of experience working in governmental affairs and communication. Her experiences include public speaking, policy development, research and data analysis, strategic planning, PAC management, fundraising, grassroots education and mobilization, finance, and business operations.

Practical-Politics.org was created to be a source for information and education for students and those individuals interested in politics and public policy. This is not a site that espouses one political ideology over another, nor does it debate the viability of one public policy option over another. Instead this site is geared towards a practical understanding of political science and the policymaking process. Topics that will be addressed include: understanding the "ins and outs" of politics, the process of policy development, and the "how and why" of governmental activism.
