Denise Te Karu
Denise Te Karu has worked in community development all throughout her professional and voluntary life. She gained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Canterbury University and a Bachelor’s degree with first class honours from Waikato University. Denise also taught as an assistant lecturer at Lincoln University. This was followed by a brief stint in mental health services assisting in improving service delivery to Māori. Denise has also worked for select committees, the Department of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Consumer Affairs. Denise's work has linked her with several community organizations that she continues to serve. Her services have included family budgeting advice, debt reconciliation guidance, research and written communications.
