Denisse Icaza

Denisse Icaza is a freelance writer and social media consultant. Born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Denisse is also completely bilingual and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Florida Atlantic University.

She is the founder and editor of the blog Ahorros para Mamá, one of the pioneers of its kind that offers Spanish-speaking moms new ways to save time and money while not having to sacrifice quality and their favorite brand names.

The idea for Ahorros para Mamá was born in 2009 when she started to notice there was no information in Spanish about great products and savings for Latina moms in the US and she felt the need to fill that void. Denisse created her blog and now even co-hosts successful bi-weekly live streamed video chats with her readers.

Denisse has been featured on TV shows and on various online publications for her blog and social media involvement. She has also been invited to speak at blogging and social media conferences.

Living in a home where Spanish is the main language spoken, she has a firsthand account of what it means to be a Spanish-speaking Latina mom living in the US. She currently lives in South Florida with her husband and three young children, who are also being raised fully bilingual and bicultural.
