Denisse Penaflor

Hello, I'm Denisse and I am a junior at Wheaton High School.

Last September I was the new libero for Wheaton's Girls' Varsity Volleyball team. It felt great getting back on court after a whole year. I got to catch up with some veteran players and meet new ones. Admittedly, it was a rough season and switching from setting to full-time defense had its challenges, but I'm glad I had the opportunity to do it anyway.

I feel grateful to have been given the role of Jackie in our Drama Club's production of Check, Please! just one week before the show. There were some issues with the actress, but I feel honored that the director trusted me enough to take up a role in such short notice.
