Hello, my name is Dennis Kim, and I am a Straus resident in the Ivy Yard. I am hoping to represent the Ivy Yard this school year.

I am from the city of Annandale, VA just a few minutes from D.C. In high school, I was very passionate about leadership. I served the student body as its Class President my freshman and sophomore year, and served as its Student Vice President my junior and senior year.

At Harvard, I wish to improve the student community by formulating efficient solutions to problems as your undergraduate council representative. Here are some of my ideas:

• Install printing stations in all common rooms
• Have dorm essentials such as mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing boards readily accessible in each basement
• Install umbrella dispensers for rainy days
• Organize staff appreciation day for PAFs, proctors and advisors
• Organize mixers and other social events for a more united yard
• Expand Undergraduate Council’s outreach through online surveys and suggestion box
