I’m Dr. Dennis Roberts, and I am a Licensed Psychologist with a professional focus in Health Psychology. As a clinical psychologist I work with you and your medical providers to address issues such as:

- Depression and Anxiety
- Insomnia and Sleep Issues

- Medical and Dental Fears
- The impact of Stress, Depression, and Anxiety on your health

- Unexpected or significant Medical Diagnoses

I focus on how your medical condition affects your psychological and emotional state, and how these can affect your quality of life.

I use an approach called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with an approached called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and I work from a biopsychosocial perspective.

I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from Antioch University Seattle with a concentration in health psychology. Prior to this I earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona.

I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. I served my pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Chicago Department of Public Health North River Mental Health Center. I have worked as a psychotherapist in community counseling centers, a primary care medical clinic, a large urban hospital, a community public health center, correctional settings, and a university-based counseling center.
