I'm a journalist with The Hindunewspaper based in Chennai, south India. I cover the Tamil Nadu government's Secretariat, primarily the Chief Minister's Office, the Raj Bhavan and also functions of various State government departments. I cover the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
I track developments in the ruling and opposition parties in Tamil Nadu and report on their significance in the Tamil Nadu political scene. I interview political leaders, bureaucrats, researchers and activists over a wide range of subjects.
I report about various social trends. I coordinate with non-governmental organizations and forums for reporting on social issues relating to human rights, rights of survivors of gender violence, issues concerning women, children and oppressed sections of the society.

I have covered the Madras High Court, the highest legal platform in Tamil Nadu and have reported on various aspects relating to gender violence and civil rights.
I interact with politicians, bureaucrats, industrialists, businessmen, sailors, sports personalities, archaeologists, historians, story-tellers, wildlife enthusiasts, advocates, judges, Armed forces personnel, career diplomats, scientists, school and college teachers, unionists, clergymen and others for my stories.
I have extensively covered politics in Tamil Nadu, anti nuclear protests against Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, rocket launches from India's Sriharikota spaceport, to mention a few.
