Dennis Tartaglia

I am founder and president of Tartaglia Communications, LLC, a boutique public relations firm specializing in strategic health, science and nonprofit communications. A leader in my field for more than 30 years, I have managed accounts in the areas of public health, health care policy, biomedical and physical science research, and provider positioning. I have also held senior public relations appointments with major nonprofit organizations, hospitals and medical centers in New York and New Jersey.

My high-impact campaigns have earned my clients more than two dozen top awards, including, PRWeek’s Healthcare Campaign of the Year, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil, and PRSA’s Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation. In 2012, I was the sole recipient of the Healthcare Public Relations & Marketing Society’s HPRMS Award for Excellence in Public Relations.

A former officer of the PRSA Health Academy, I co-chaired the Academy’s 2011 national conference in Washington, DC. I have been quoted in PRWeek, O’Dwyer’s Public Relations Report, PR News, Communiqué and other publications. My work has been featured in Bulldog Reporter’s Breakthrough PR Campaigns and in the Big Book of Brilliant PR Ideas.

I hold a Master of Arts from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Ramapo College, and completed postgraduate coursework in the UMDNJ-Graduate School of Public Health (now part of Rutgers University).
