Denny Weinberg

Over the course of his 30-year career, Denny Weinberg has enjoyed considerable success as a senior executive, board director, consultant, or advisor. Mr. Weinberg's most significant role was with WellPoint, Inc, which he co-founded in the early 1990's with a group of other highly successful health care leaders. WellPoint has grown to be one of the country’s premier health benefits company, largely due to Weinberg's leadership role over 20 years with WellPoint and its predecessor, Blue Cross of California. During that time, Denny Mark Weinberg served as an executive vice president and chief executive officer for a number of WellPoint’s many subsidiaries. His skill pushed the company through one of the most publicized financial turnarounds in the industry, directing it from near-bankruptcy in 1987 to market leadership in 2002.

Since leaving WellPoint, Denny Weinberg has held many positions with a diverse range of companies. He founded the medical diagnostic instrument developer FRW1, LLC, of which he is currently Chairman, in 2003. In 2004, Mr. Weinberg launched Skyview Development, LLC. Skyview is a real estate developing company that operates out of Kalispell, Montana. Mr. Weinberg is currently a director for Renal Ventures Management LLC, Applied Merchant Systems, Salem Communications Corporation, and the Dole Food Company, Inc. He also serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee for both Dole and Salem Communications.

Over the years, Denny Weinberg has co-founded and directed many charitable organizations, including the Weinberg Family Charitable Donor Fund and Charitable Trust, Life Skills for American Families, the Cornerstone Network, Little Oaks School, and the National Coalition for the Protection of Children and Families, among others.
