I am currently in my last year at UC Berkeley, studying Civil and Environmental Engineering. I am very interested in project controls and construction management and plan to advance my career in this field. I have also been deeply involved in environmental improvement projects, and plan to incorporate this background into my work approach.
As part of a clean water initiative a few of my classmates and I started through a Tibetan non-profit organization, I helped design an affordable and locally sustainable water purification system for rural villages in Tibet. I analyzed, researched, and theorized innovative solutions to water impurities and turbidity, like bamboo charcoal, considering characteristic freezing temperatures of Tibet.
In addition to working part-time, and being a full-time student, I have made sure to be as involved in the Berkeley campus community as possible. I have been a part of two Hip-Hop dance teams, a Swing dancing team, and a competitive Bollywood dancing team. I have also been part of UC Berkeley's African American Gospel Choir. In addition to these extracurriculars, I was involved in UC Berkeley's Steel Bridge competition team and Global Architecture Brigades.
