Derek Little at EPA Region 4 LSASD in Athens, GA, collaborates with states, tribes, and community representatives on environmental sampling solutions for permitting and policy decisions. He also serves as the LSASD Emergency Response Coordinator. Leading a mobile laboratory multidisciplinary team for rapid response to time-sensitive environmental emergencies.
Starting his EPA career in 2008, Derek previously worked in stormwater modeling in Charlotte, NC, before earning his Master's in Biosystems Engineering from Clemson University under Dr. Caye Drapcho. He holds a PE license for the State of Georgia.
He consistently seeks innovative approaches to generate high-quality, defensible data for protecting human health and the environment.
