Born and formally educated in London, England schools. I immigrated here and lived in "Silicon Valley" for over 40 years. Carving out a full time real estate career as a Broker. Married to Paula my assistant we have 7 children.

Even though I'm an accquised workaholic, I pride myself on being able to blend family and work. Carving out what quality spare time I can with family. Which I like like to say is my " Precious most non renewable resource". I enjoy reading, real estate investing, hiking, watching movies, little blogging, church and exercise.

Over the past 30 years Derek has worked for top selling offices such as Better Homes Realty, ERA, Prudential and REMAX. While at ERA Derek was top producer of his office and top 10% in the nation. He also managed this office which became one of ERA's top ten offices nationwide. When working at Prudential, Derek became a Multi-Million Dollar Producer. Derek is a member of the National Association of Realtors and also a member of the California State Association of Realtors. He was the STATE DIRECTOR for District 19 in 1991-1992. He is a member in good standing @ MLSListings.com which is the local multiple listing service to Silicon Valley, and San Francisco Peninsula. He was a past chairman of San Jose Real Estate Board Membership Committee, serving on it's Arbitration/ Professional Standards Committee, and Grievance Committee.
