Derek A. Smith is the Director of Cyber Initiatives at Enlightened, Inc responsible for strategic and operational leadership that establishes, supports, and continously imporves cyber information strategies.

I have worked in IT Security positions as Computer Sciences Corporation, Booz Allen Hamilton, InfoZen and others.

Formally I was a Special Agent criminal investigators for the Department of Treasury, US Postal Service, Dep. of Education, Defense Intelligence Agency, Army CID, and Air Force OSI.

I served in the military for a total of 24 years in the US Navy, US Air Force, and US Army.

I have a Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership, MBA, Masters of Information Technology, Masters in IT Project Management, B.S in Education, and A.S degrees in Criminal Justice, Computing and Information Technology, and Data Porcessing.

I have taught business and IT classes for 18 years at various colleges, universities and private institutions.

I am an avid real estate investor.

I have acted in a number of television shows, commercials and motion pictures.
