"The way it has always been done..." should be the scariest words you will ever say or hear, and I myself have been on both sides of the coin.

Webster's defines 'Status quo' as "the existing state of affairs." Since when has the existing state of anything been good? Consider all the various examples of forward progress:

  • Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age
  • Velcro, Plastic, Silicon
  • Radio, Television, Internet

If you are stationary, you are - in reality - moving backwards.
