Derek Schuelein

Derek Schuelein is an education leadership expert who has been the principal of different schools. He uses his education and experience to give the best to the student learning environment.

Derek Schuelein has been a panelist at Manhattanville College New Teacher Panel Discussion in 2017. His dissertation for Ed.D. was awarded as the Winner of Manhattan College’s 2019 “Distinguished Dissertation Award”.

Derek Schuelein began his career as a social studies teacher in 2002 and then became the assistant principal at Jane Addams CTE High School in NYC DOE from 2008 till 2011. He improved through supervision of the health office, clinical office, and other support services.

Derek Schuelein then joined Lindenhurst High School in Lindenhurst, NY as a coordinator of the CTE department and the assistant principal from 2011 to 2014. He worked as a Principal for Rye High School in Rye City, NY.

Derek Schuelein loves to help students with learning. He has also been a host parent for some Chinese exchange students.

Other than being a professional educator, he also loves to ski. Derek Schuelein is really interested in instructional practices and reads professional literature on education.
