bio: Derek founded Green Benefits with the belief that people are willing to make lifestyle changes neccesary to preserve the quality of our community and planet. Prior to these startups, Derek worked as an educator and outside consultant for nonprofit programs.
Derek's experience includes teaching students K-12, college students and adult learners. Derek has consulted for the Seattle Public Schools, King County International Airport, the Museum of Flight, Experimental Aircraft Association, IERN, and the Odyssey Project.
Growing up in Washington State, Derek has a strong passion for the outdoors and the quality of life provided by a clean and healthy environment. During his free time, Derek likes to sail, hike, fish, cook and spend time with his wife and two children.
