Derek Wenzell

I grew up in the Bay Area and have an undying loyalty to my sports teams (Giants, Sharks, 49ers). I went to school at American University in our nation's capital. Somehow I picked that over going to school in Santa Barbara and living on the beach. I ended up getting a great education studying Business Administration at the Kogod School of Business. I specialized in Marketing and Finance (important for later). After school ended I went back home to try and get a job. That wasn't very easy so I went to my friend Eric who was feeling the same way. We decided that it would be better to create jobs for ourselves rather than trying to find one, so we founded a digital marketing company DEC Interactive. We specialize in social media marketing and online strategy for small businesses looking to compete in the digital age. I have since moved back to our nation's capital and set up the business out here. I still have many good friends from school out here and my friend Eric is going to Georgetown Law. I love to laugh and have a good time. I still play hockey as much as I can and never pass up an opportunity to throw the ball around.
