My experience stems from over 30 years of residential construction, maintenance and handyman experience. Beginning my training as a laborer on a construction crew building homes on the Outer Banks of NC, I soon advanced to carpenter status and worked in this capacity for many years. During the period of 1990 and 1996 I was enlisted in the USMC. Upon discharge from the service I again entered residential construction and soon worked my way into punch list, doing small warranty work projects, installing appliances and insuring new homes were ready and met the new owner’s expectations. Due to economic downturns, I found that the maintenance field was more stable. I transitioned into the vacation rental industry and trained for many years completing multiple repairs in homes and condominiums throughout the OBX. The work touched on all facets of home repair, inside and out. You never knew what the next job was going to be. You just knew there was going to be more and a lot of it. A very fast paced service-oriented experience that allowed me to understand the essence of what is needed to provide that great customer service experience. Transitioning to a Maintenance Manager position I eventually realized I wanted a company of my own. By 2015, Into-Structures Handyman Solutions was formed and up and running. Today operating a small business that allows me to provide a needed service and make a living in the process while doing what I enjoy is a dream come true.
