Derrick Jake Kam

Hi there! I'm Derrick, librarian, a cappella and vocal music enthusiast, blogger/writer, somewhat a geek, arts and culture lover and at times, heavily opinionated. I hail from the Lion City, Singapore. (Nope, we're not in the middle of China.)

The library is where I work from and earn my keep, with my free time spent at the gym, reading, meeting friends and writing personal accounts of my life on my blog. I also work on PhotoShop a lot, mostly self-taught; and usually working for print medium designs for various clients and events.

Besides that, I don't stay home often - usually found rehearsing with my choirs/a cappella groups, or out taking pictures while exploring random places (hopefully away from Singapore - that's wanderlust speaking).

To keep my mind active, I like to source out ways and avenues to be free to be even more creative and learn from others. Most people would like to think I'm weird, or arrogant; but I choose to think that these things will add as an interesting contribution when part of a team.
