Derrick Reese is an entrepreneur, educator, author and public speaker. His personal vision is “to be the bridge to take families from what they are to what they can be”.

He holds degrees from Clark Atlanta University and Clayton State University in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. He is currently pursuing a dual master’s degree in education and leadership.

From college, he worked with at risk youth in juvenile probation. His dedication and passion to advocate for children elevated him from the ranks of a juvenile probation officer to become one of the state’s youngest juvenile program managers.

After years of seeing the high correlation between low school performance, school dropout rates, and at-risk behaviors, he chose to enter the field of education. In education, he immediately found himself advocating for students with disabilities. In addition, he served on the school leadership team and as athletic coach. Conception was becoming evolution.

As an author, he completed his first published work, Missing Footprints: Challenging A Fatherless America. It is more than a book. It is the personal journey of how so many lives are affected by a father’s absence.

In the still of the night, God spoke. He clearly recalls God’s comment “stop trying to conform. You were not made to blend, you were made to transcend.” Finally, he answered the call of God on his life and began operating in the fivefold ministry.

His calibration will always be set to develop the one who “does not fit”. He is and will forever be a voice for the voiceless, a shield for the exposed, and a net for the cast out.
