Derrick Shannon II

Derrick Shannon is a percussion specialist in the Chicago-land area, the Director of Percussion at Lemont High School, as well as the founder of DAS Productions. He is currently a very active teacher and performer as he does many clinics and master classes around Chicago. He has studied under greats such as Paul Rennick, Adam Hill, Kevin Lepper, Erik Johnson, and Bret Kuhn. His resume includes numerous years of drum corps including the Phantom Regiment who claimed the DCI World Championship in 2008. He has also been heavily involved with WGI as he helped lead Pioneer Indoor to two consecutive WGI World Championships. Derrick is a member of both the Chicago Bulls Stampede Drumline and the Chicago Bears Drumline. He is also a Dynasty Percussion educational artist as well.
