The strength I picked was woo. To me it means I like meeting people, but it also means that I love winning others over. I identify with this strength the most because it's a very big part of my personality. Academically, it makes me want my classmates and teachers to like me and drives my desire to learn. Personally, wooing people is something I've always displayed. I love to meet people and love when people like me right away. It impacts me positively because I seek to be surrounded and accepted by people. Woo was my number one strength, but it's also my favorite. I make sure not to let the disapproval of people affect who I am as a person. Even though it means I like developing relationships with a lot of people, I do enjoy creating deep and meaningful relationships with people also.

In my Lessons from a First-Year Buckeye assignment, I talked about how it's essential to study to be successful in class, it's important to make friends outside of who you live with because it's important to get out of comfort zone, using the campus buses helps make campus convenient, take advantage of office hours because your professors are willing to help, and most importantly make the most of your time in college. These five tips are going to be important to be and will help me all throughout college. I learned so much more in college but these five lessons are ones that I feel most impacted my first semester here at Ohio State. This assignment helped me realize how important the first semester is and how much you learn just in about three months in college. This will impact my future because it shows that you can change and learn so much in a short amount of time. It also will help me remember that new experiences and not having a game plan for life is okay and things will always work out how they are meant to.

In my Letter to Myself assignment, I talked a lot about graduating from Ohio State and how to never lose sight of that goal. I didn't lose sight of that, but plans do change. This helped me learn that it's okay to alter your plans to get to your goal. I was a planner all throughout high school and feel that I will be for the rest of my life. The last thing I ever expected was to transfer from Ohio State, especially after only one semester at my dream school. This assignment helped me to remember that my plan and God's plan may not be the same. This well help me in life because I have to remember that what is for me, will not pass me.
