Orrin Andrsen

Orrin is the visionary owner and principal designer of Design Spectrum founded in 1991. He is prolific in Exhibit, Event, Theatric and Movie SetDesign. He studied Theater and Cinematic Arts and Interior Design at Brigham Young University, as well as a life-long fascination with art, architectureand construction. As a young designer, he designed sets and propsfor Keith Merrill Productions, Osmond Studios and LDS Motion Picture Studioswith several motion picture and television credits in his name. In ‘Mr. Kruger’sChristmas’, he was the stand-in for the actor Jimmy Stewart. Orrin is not only a master of design but a highly skilled craftsman and intuitive engineer.He has been building most of his designs for the past thirty years. In the twenty two years of owning his own design firm, Orrin has designed and managed the construction, shipping , installation and dismantle of more than two million square feet of exhibits and corporate events Those exhibits have crossed the country hundreds of times and in several instances crossed both oceans. Through it all, he has become a wise manager of people, time and resources. He has alsoacquired a vast knowledge of the exhibit and entertainment industries, its worldwide facilities and a real world understanding of marketing, corporate branding and event logistics.Orrin is an avid traveler, sailor of 8500 miles through the Baltic, North Sea and crossing the Atlantic throughBermuda and into N.Y. Harbor as a crew member aboard a tall ship. He and Dianna are the parents of sixdaughters, all soccer players along with their mother, and one lacrosse playing son. The balance of his time is spent voluntarily with his church and community. If there is any time left, he spends it being a “spectator”at one of the dozens of family sport events each week.
