Amanda Cantrell

After nineteen years designing carpet for a major carpet manufacturer I was laid off due to budget cuts and downsizing. I now do freelance work for several companies and have been fortunate to have great clients and stay productive. I like the flexibilityof working from home but miss the opportunity to mingle with other professionals if I had a full time position. Now that my children are older I would love the opportunity to be back in an office environment where I can be supported by my collegues and be inspired by those around me. I am originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, went to high school in Chester VA, and college at VCU and University of Tenness, Knoxville. I have two children, a stepson, his wife and three beautiful grandchildren. Life is good and I continue to love to create new and suprising things everyday. I currently am working on print carpet designs, CYP carpet designs and other surface designs for rugs, fabric and paper.
